Wednesday's Nintendo Direct revealed more details on the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. One reveal is that people with the Switch successor and Nintendo Switch Online Plus Expansion Pack will exclusively get access to a library of GameCube games.

After months of waiting, Nintendo finally revealed all the juicy details about the Nintendo Switch 2, including the first batch of games.

As well as the above full exclusives, there’s a series of “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” titles, which are Switch 1 games “patched” to make the most out of the Switch 2 hardware. These are available as both “upgrade packs” if you own the Switch 1 version, or as standalone editions for the Switch 2:

Finally, it was confirmed that some upcoming Switch 1 games will also get their own Switch 2 Editions, with Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokemon Legends: Z-A specifically called out. The games will look better and run better on the Switch 2, with Metroid Prime 4 able to hit 4K at 60fps or 1080p at 120fps.

Pokemon Legends Z-A, Super Mario Party Jamboree, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Kirby and the Forgotton Land and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will all receive Nintendo Switch 2 versions.
