Celebrated bassist George Porter Jr. and his band Runnin’ Pardners release their latest album, the funky, instrumental “Porter’s Pocket,” on Friday, Feb. 7. Porter plays Snug Harbor on the same day with longtime collaborators Michael Lemmler on keys and drummer Terrence Houston. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 via snugjazz.com.
