The New York Yankees rallied behind another strong outing from Max Fried on Friday night. The former Atlanta Braves ace didn’t find much trouble dominating the Tampa Bay Rays. He threw seven scoreless frames and only allowed one hit (a single) to help the Yankees secure a 3-0 triumph.

Fried is a Los Angeles native and pitched at Harvard-Westlake High School. He was a first-round draft pick by the San Diego Padres in 2012 but never made a big-league appearance with them. In 2014, he was traded to Atlanta, where he put together an impressive run.
