AUGUSTA (WGME) -- Maine’s new pine tree license plate has been unveiled. The new plate will feature a modern rendition of the 1901 Maine flag with a navy star and a green pine tree on the left.

"Maine has had a number of different license plates over time, but the chickadee plate is one of the longest and is now almost 25 years old," said Bellows during a state press conference on Monday.
