Duraisamy on Tuesday (April 8, 2025) called upon the party leadership to adopt the approach of the party founder M.G. Ramachandran and former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in political reconciliation.

Neelakantan, starring M. G. Ramachandran in the lead role and J. Jayalalitha, R. S. Manohar, Cho Ramaswamy among others. The movie is a remake of 1949 M. R. Radha movie Apoorva Sagodharargal.
