LSU men’s basketball planned to be active in the transfer portal with a larger NIL budget after a 3-15 campaign in the SEC this past season, and early returns have been promising.

LSU men’s basketball attracted its first player in the transfer portal with Mississippi State center Michael Nwoko, according to the player’s social media. Nwoko started 32 of 34 games at Mississippi State this season. The 6-10, 245-pound sophomore averaged 6.1 points on 52.5% from the field and 4.6 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game.
