Jurors rejected Jeffrey Ferguson’s testimony that he accidentally shot his wife, convicting him of second-degree murder on April 22, prosecutors said.

Jurors convicted a Southern California judge of second-degree murder on Tuesday for fatally shooting his wife while the couple argued and watched television at home.

The fate of an Orange County Superior Court judge who shot and killed his wife during an argument at their Anaheim Hills home is once again in the hands of a jury, a little more than a month after his first murder trial ended with an earlier panel of jurors deadlocked.
