More than 40 Jefferson County Jail inmates are in quarantine amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Sheriff’s officials on Tuesday said the jail has been facing an extreme challenge regarding virus.

Jefferson County utilizes a recognizance bond and a signature bond process that allows individuals to be signed out or released on their own recognizance (bonds up to $15,000.00).
