Ed Sheeran has announced a trio of homecoming shows at Ipswich's Portman Road Stadium this July. The 30,000-capacity venue is home to Ed's local football club Ipswich Town – he grew up in nearby Framingham – so these stadium dates promise to be extra special.

Singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran has announced a series of homecoming gigs at Ipswich Town Football Club's Portman Road stadium. Sheeran, who went to school in Framlingham and is a minority stakeholder at the football club, has announced he will play three shows at the stadium on 11, 12 and 13 July.

Ed Sheeran is bringing it all back home to celebrate his upcoming Play album. On Friday (May 2), the singer announced the run of shows in Ipswich this summer, which will have the Ed joined by an all-star roster of support acts as she sets up shop at Suffolk town’s Portman Road stadium, home of his beloved Ipswich Town FC football club.
