In a stunning blow to international scholars who had hopes of studying in the United States, the Trump administration has revoked hundreds of student visas in nearly every corner of the country as part of a vast immigration crackdown.

Several universities across the country have confirmed to UPI that international students have had their visas revoked without notice or had their Student and Exchange Visitor Information System records terminated.

At least 70 students attending New York universities and colleges have had their student visas revoked by the Trump administration, according to several school officials.
