FSIS said the problem was discovered after Johnsonville alerted the agency that it had received two complaints from consumers, reporting that hard plastic material was found in the bratwurst.

Johnsonville recalled more than 22,000 pounds of its cheddar bratwursts that were shipped to 10 states after hard plastics were found in the sausages.

The product was produced on Feb. 5, 2025 and has the code B9FOD. Two consumers found hard plastic in the brats.

The Johnsonville mention is the latest in a saga of jokes about the Sheboygan area made on the show since fall 2023.
