One anonymous NFL team was apparently willing to give up a second-round pick for the superstar San Francisco tight end.

George Kittle is set up to finish his career with the San Francisco 49ers after inking a four-year extension with the organization that takes him through his age-36 season. However, days before he came to terms on that extension, one club tried to pry the star tight end out of the Bay Area.

On Friday, the San Francisco 49ers signed veteran Ross Dwelley to a one-year deal, bringing the seven-year tight end back into the fold. Dwelley previously played with the 49ers from 2018-2023 before a short stint with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024.
