For 5 long years, fans of DC's The Flash have been waiting patiently for a solo movie, but unfortunately, the production has been plagued with delays.

Presumably if Disney/Fox is wanting to go down the animated route with Flash Gordon, that puts the kibosh on what Avery was working on and any other movement on a live action movie.
