West Monroe UMC hosts ashram. Saturday is the last day for First United Methodist Church of West Monroe’s annual northeastern Louisiana ashram – or retreat.

Last year, 69 churches in Louisiana disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church. If First Methodist Church decides to leave, they will join the ranks of those who have already broken away.

Her funeral will be conducted by Mulhearn’s in West Monroe. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church West Monroe Family Life Center at 3:30 Wednesday.
