NEW YORK (AP) — New fiction by such favorites as V.E. Schwab, Emma Donoghue and Maggie Stiefvater will be excerpted in a free e-book compilation highlighting dozens of upcoming books.

Set over a single day, as the morning train travels from the Normandy coast to Paris, men, women and children take their seats in the passenger cars, which are divided by wealth and status.

This year's Virginia Festival of the Book in Charlottesville will feature Emma Donoghue, Elon Green, Earl Swift and more.
