The site is located across Morrissey Boulevard from the mammoth 21-building Dorchester Bay City mixed-use project. The BPDA board approved the master plan for that 36-acre project in fall 2023.

And, oh yeah, residents pick an honorary mayor, who leads the procession, marching alongside the city ... called the Bay State home for more than a decade, nearly all of it in Dorchester.
