President Donald Trump announced on Monday a one-month pause on issuing a 25% tariff on Mexico while the two countries negotiate issues at the southern border.

Feb. 3, 10:41 a.m. EST Trump said on Truth Social he had a “very friendly conversation” with Sheinbaum in which she “immediately” agreed to send 10,000 Mexican soldiers to the border, and confirmed they will pause the tariffs on the country’s imports for one month while his administration negotiates with Mexican officials.
