Nikola Jokic may have played a role in Michael Malone's dismissal as Denver Nuggets head coach.

Nikola Jokic has had an incredible NBA career thus far, but there's a case to be made that it should have been even better. Jokic is in his 10th season in the NBA, and while he has won many major accolades in that time,

Despite his historic feat, the Nuggets fell short, as the Minnesota Timberwolves edged them out 140-139 in a double-overtime thriller. But it was the sheer brilliance of Jokic that had Timberwolves star Julius Randle shaking his head in disbelief.

Tensions have steadily risen inside the organization over perhaps the NBA's most important question: How do the Nuggets maximize what's left of Jokic's prime?
