Greenland is working on strengthening its relations with Denmark following disrespectful rhetoric from the U.S. administration, the Arctic island's new Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen said on Sunday.

Denmark's King Frederik was set on Monday to begin a visit to Greenland to underscore unity with the semi-autonomous Danish territory in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's interest in taking over the huge Arctic island.
