The NHL's first Ice Girls team appeared in the 2000-01 season. It was the New York Islanders who changed the NHL tradition of an all-male ice team and introduced their Ice Girls concept to the league.

She started out as a little girl with a dream and went on to compete in multiple U.S Figure Skating National Championships. Currently, she is working as a coach and Dallas Stars Ice Girl.
