The pub is situated next to one of the walk's highlights, the abandoned Crouch End railway station, where you can walk along the old platforms. From there, the bar is just a couple minutes away.

From the 1860s the railway station served the trains which ... keep going straight until you reach another abandoned station, CROUCH END (point 6), which served the area from 1867 to 1954.
