Alejandro Kirk hit a go-ahead two-run double in the ninth inning off struggling Yankees closer Devin Williams and the Toronto Blue Jays beat New York 4-2, snapping a five-game losing streak.

It helped that Toronto right-hander Kevin Gausman imploded in a six-run third, as the Yankees pulled away for an 11-2 victory in the first game of Sunday’s doubleheader in The Bronx. The Yankees trailed 1-0 entering the bottom of the third, but drew five walks and got a three-run double from Austin Wells.

Per Keegan Matheson of MLB.com, the Blue Jays sent Jonatan Clase back to Triple-A after he was called up as the 27th man for Sunday's double-header. This was not the only move Toronto made ahead of Tuesday's series opener against Boston.
