Wide receiver Antoine Green has been waived, the team announced Tuesday afternoon. Green appeared in nine games as a rookie in 2023 and was tracking toward a role in 2024 before he suffered brain and neck injuries in Detroit's preseason game against the New York Giants on Aug. 9.

NFL draft ended on Saturday, and most teams probably feel good about where they stand a few days later. On paper, each franchise is better than it was a week ago. Of course, some of the selections made over draft weekend will prove to be wrong decisions—perhaps not due to how players perform,
