The OG logo was short-lived, and Nickelodeon had a makeover within a year. In 1980, it opted for a modified version of the Windsor Bold typeface, giving its wordmark a simple yet elegant look.

Along with Thompson, cast members from the OG iteration — which aired on Nick in the ’90s and ’00s — include Kel Mitchell, Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon and Jamie Spears, among others.
