Alex Bregman, the Boston Red Sox’s new third baseman, recorded the first five-hit game of his career on April 15. At George M. Steinbrenner Field, he blasted two home runs and drove in four more to help Boston beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7–4.

With Bregman being placed on the paternity list, the Red Sox have made a roster move ahead of their matchup against the Rays. The team has announced that utilityman Nick Sogard has been called up from Triple-A Worcester.
