Beyoncé, the most-awarded artist in Grammy history, has finally won album of the year. Beyoncé picked up the top prize at Sunday night’s 67th Grammy Awards with “Cowboy Carter,” her bold yet scholarly exploration of the Black roots of country music.

The award, presented by the Los Angeles Fire Department, ended the singer’s long-running streak as the most nominated female artist without a win in the category.

Beyoncé, who led all artists with 11 nominations, won the Grammy for album of the year. Kendrick Lamar won record and song of the year, and Chappell Roan won best new artist.
