Alaska Airlines will start a direct Seattle-Rome service in May 2026, with four weekly flights using Boeing 787-9 aircraft

Alaska Airlines will begin flying to Rome in May 2026 from Seattle, its first long-haul international flights to Europe.

Alaska Airlines on Tuesday announced it was adding nonstop flights between Seattle and Rome next year, its first transatlantic route. The Italian capital was not previously served by an airport in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. It’s the third long-haul destination Alaska has added at its Seattle-Tacoma International Airport hub after Tokyo and Seoul.
