The Alabama high school basketball season is officially into the postseason as area tournaments kick off around the state. Area tournaments can get started on Thursday and go through Wednesday for Class 1A-6A. Class 7A, with its lack of sub regional play, gets its area tournaments start on Feb.5 and goes through the 8th.

AHSAA basketball season has reached regionals. Regionals will take place between Tuesday through Feb. 20 in four different locations: Montgomery (Garrett Coliseum and Alabama State), Jacksonville and Hanceville.
