In a new letter to lawmakers, the Treasury Department has confirmed that officials connected to Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have been granted "read-only" access to the sensitive Treasury system that manages trillions of dollars in government payments.

The judge faulted the logic of a blanket freeze on foreign aid spending and found that groups that depend on the aid had made a strong initial showing of “irreparable harm.”

The order allowing funds to flow again applies to existing contracts before Trump issued his Jan. 20 executive order declaring a freeze on foreign assistance.
