A fire at a two-story home displaced seven people and killed a pet cat in San Jose early Saturday, according to the city’s fire department. Firefighters responded to the blaze around 5:12 a.m. on the 600 block of Woodland Terrace in the Naglee neighborhood near Interstate 280,

The fire broke out around 5:10 a.m. in the 600 block of Woodland Trail, the San Jose Fire Department said. While the residents were able to escape uninjured, a cat died in the fire. The cause of the fire wasn't disclosed.
