By John Revill BASEL, Switzerland (Reuters) -Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Swiss host city Basel on Saturday, in the country's first victory since bearded drag queen Conchita Wurst won in 2014.

Austrians were getting ready Sunday to welcome back home and celebrate classically trained singer JJ, who won the 69th Eurovision Song Contest for their country with “Wasted Love,” a song that combines operatic,

"Wasted Love," sung by the classically trained countertenor JJ, beat out 25 other songs for the top prize at the international competition held this year in Basel, Switzerland.
