The Memphis Grizzlies have their new head coach. The team announced Friday that interim coach Tuomas Iisalo is being installed as the full-time head coach after replacing the fired Taylor Jenkins in March.

The Grizzlies just made history by naming Tuomas Iisalo their next head coach as he’s now the first Finnish-born head coach in NBA history.

Tuomas Iisalo was thrown into an impossible situation. He'd been brought to America by the Grizzlies just a year ago from Paris Basketball — where he had won EuroCup with a high-powered offense — to help ramp up the Memphis offense.
