Trump has made a new emergency request of the Supreme Court seeking an immediate stay of a nationwide injunction blocking the ban on transgender military service members.

The U.S. asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to pause a lower court ruling that blocks its effort to ban transgender service members.

Lower courts had blocked the policy, saying it was not supported by evidence and violated equal protection principles.
