Once paired, you can switch devices at any time, whether your controller is on or off. To do so, make sure the device you want to switch to is on, then press and hold the corresponding action button and PS button. Let go when the light bar and player indicator blink, which should happen after about three seconds.

Sony is reportedly releasing a new PS5 controller in 2026 with a huge upgrade on the current standard PS5 DualSense.

A new system update for those in the PS5 beta program will enable a new feature for the DualSense or DualSense Edge controller, allowing it to be paired with multiple devices at the same time and quickly switch between them. Beta participants will get access to the new feature on Friday.
