Twins third baseman Royce Lewis, who hasn't played since March 16 due to a hamstring strain, will begin an injury rehab assignment Friday at Triple-A St. Paul.

Lewis went down on March 16 with a hamstring injury he sustained in Spring Training. At just 25 years old, Lewis hasn't been the healthiest player since making his MLB debut in 2022. In three seasons, Lewis has appeared in just 152 games – a total that would be expected from just one full season.
