Of course, Pittsburgh is also home to the MLB 's Pirates and NHL's Penguins - two stories franchises in their own right. But the Steelers have a pretty good track record, too. And in terms of passion, the city lives and breathes Steelers football unlike any other team, regardless of their current record.
With Aaron Rodgers' future in doubt, the Steelers may be eyeing a bold backup plan. According to reports, the Falcons could consider trading veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins to Pittsburgh if Rodgers retires or turns down the opportunity.
NFL insider Dan Graziano says the Pittsburgh Steelers are comfortable with Mason Rudolph as their starting quarterback if Aaron Rodgers spurns them. Rudolph re-signed with the Steelers on a two-year, $8 million deal, and could have a starting role if Rodgers chooses to retire or another chance pops up.
