Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is the first Buckeye taken in the NFL draft, going to Tampa Bay with the 19th overall pick.

Egbuka, Ohio State's all-time leader in receptions, joins Tampa Bay following a storybook ending to a standout collegiate career.

Buckeyes wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who won't be eligible to become a professional until the 2027 NFL Draft, took time Thursday to publicly congratulate one of those seven teammates -- fellow receiver Emeka Egbuka. "Love Brudda," wrote Smith on X (formerly Twitter) with a hand heart emoji.
