A Mumbai court has extended the police custody of Mohammed Shariful Islam, the man accused of attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, until January 29. Islam, arrested on January 19, allegedly attacked Khan during a failed robbery attempt at the actor’s Bandra residence on January 16.

The extension of custody was sought by the police citing the possibility of additional accomplices and the accused’s failure to cooperate in the location of the weapon.
