Miami Marlins draft Florida RHP Jake Clemente in Round 7Jake Clemente held down the bullpen in Gainesville for most of 2025, and now he's off to start his pro career with the Miami Marlins organization.
The Miami Marlins selected former Midland College and Texas State pitcher Carson Laws in the 14th round of the MLB draft with the 408th pick. Laws was with the Chaparrals from 2022-2024 for his freshman and sophomore years before transferring to Texas State.
Atlanta traded Petersen to the Marlins on Wednesday in exchange for cash, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
