Howard freshman guard Blake Harper was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Year, the conference announced Tuesday evening in the Chrysler Hall during the third annual MEAC BBT Awards.

Johnson led the conference in scoring this season with 19.2 points per game. Vickers guided the Spartans to the most wins they've ever had in a regular season with 27.

Diamond Johnson, a graduate student, was the Player of the Year after being named as the Player of the Week eight times. She is averaging a team-high 19.2 points per game and ranks second in the MEAC at 4.
