A senior UK minister next week will warn businesses to protect themselves against cyber threats after a spate of attacks on retailers including Marks & Spencer Group Plc.

Richard Home, the chief executive officer of the National Cyber Security Centre in the U.K., said the incident should act as a “wake-up call to all organizations.”

Following a ransomware attack on Marks & Spencer that disrupted online orders and recruitment, Harrods has become the latest major retailer to be targeted by hackers.
