President Donald Trump has called on Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook to resign amid a claim by a top administration official that she may have engaged in so-called mortgage occupancy fraud by falsely labeling a secondary home as her primary residence to get better loan terms.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said he would fire Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook if she doesn't resign.

Mr. Trump says that those limits are an unconstitutional check on the president’s power to control the executive branch and that he must be allowed to remove officials for any reason or no reason.
