Knobs on ranges can be unintentionally activated, an issue that has proved a hazard with other brands, safety agency says.

The home appliance maker is sending out warning labels after 86 reports of ‘unintentional activation’ of the stove, resulting in property damage totaling more than $340,000. LG Electronics USA is recalling half a million electric ranges that have been involved in at least 28 fires,
