Nottingham Forest has beaten Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 to move into third place in the Premier League. Forest scored twice in the first 16 minutes and although Spurs had much of the possession it didn't score until the 87th minute.

The win on Monday, combined with Sheffield United failing to beat Burnley, means Leeds are back in the top flight, and Burnley will join them

Thirty-five miles to the west of Leeds, another promotion party broke out last night. Burnley are heading back up, too, driven by their own owners from the United States. It’s taken them just one year to right the wrong of relegation.
