Every GOP lawmaker in the Michigan House of Representatives voted on a bill to cut the state income tax. Several Democrats joined them.

Under the provision of Section 87A, Indian resident person, whose income is not more than Rs. 5,00,000, will get deduction of 100% of the tax payable by him. In other words an individual who earns up to Rs. 5,00,000 has not to pay any tax.

Experts have told Mississippi Today that deep federal spending cuts, along with the elimination of the state income tax, could reduce Mississippi’s ability to fund services. Some also warn the shift to a more regressive form of taxation would hit poor and low-income Mississippians hardest.
