Hyundai Motor said on Thursday that it has shifted output of its Tucson crossover from Mexico to the United States in response to U.S. tariffs.

Hyundai Motor said on Thursday it has launched a task force to respond to U.S. tariffs, adding that production of some Tucson crossovers has now been shifted from Mexico to the United States. It is also considering whether to move production of some U.

Hyundai Motor reported a 2% rise in first-quarter operating profit on Thursday, meeting analysts' estimates, as customers accelerated purchases ahead of U.S. tariffs and as it also benefited from a weak South Korean won.
