Buckle up! Google is throwing a party next month. Samsung announced its new Galaxy Z Fold 7 (check out my review here), the Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Watch 8 and 8 Classic last week, and Google is going next before Apple will likely do its annual iPhone and Apple Watch event in September.

Google is bringing AI‑generated summaries to Discover, the personalized stream of articles and videos found in the Google app curated based on a user's interests. The search giant remains undeterred by the imperfect nature of AI Overviews, or what it might mean for publishers whose content largely makes up Google's search results.

Google agreed to spend more than $3 billion to buy power for its data centers from Brookfield Asset Management hydroelectric plants, with plans to potentially quadruple the amount of supply.
