Tracking afternoon highs in the mid 90s inland and near or just about 90 degrees along the coast. Feels like temperatures will be 108-112 this afternoon.
Erin strengthens to a hurricane with max sustained winds of 75 MPH. The latest forecast track has Erin becoming a major hurricane this weekend. It could contain winds as high at 140 MPH by Monday morning just east of the Bahamas.
As of Saturday morning, Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicated that Erin has become a Category 5 hurricane.
Of course, another warm day is ahead as highs will return to the low/mid 90’s. This will come with chance for isolated-to-scattered storms. A few morning showers will give way to a better chance of scattered storms from the late morning and afternoon. Not everyone will receive rain but keep an eye on the sky and First Alert Radar when outside.

The Drought Monitor indicated that parts of Monroe, Orleans, and Genesee counties are in a moderate drought. Additionally, Livingston, Ontario, and Yates counties are abnormally dry.
