Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan spoke by phone on Wednesday with Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to convey his solidarity after India hit Pakistan and Pakistani Kashmir with missiles, the Turkish presidency said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey is the latest to speak out following India's attacks on targets in Pakistan. According to the ministry, this creates a real risk of the outbreak of a full-scale armed conflict.

U.S. President Donald Trump and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone call on Monday that both leaders described as "very productive" and said they discussed everything from how to end Russia's war in Ukraine to Syria and the Gaza war.

Trump said Monday he wanted to work with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to end Russia's invasion of Ukraine, after the two leaders spoke by telephone.
