Just a few weeks after its 19 th anniversary, game developer Bethesda announced that 2006’s Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has not only been remastered, but it’s already available to purchase and play. Oblivion takes place in the fictional province of Cyrodiil and the story focuses on the player’s character as they try to thwart the Mythic Dawn cult that plans to open portal gates to a demonic realm known as Oblivion.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is officially out now. The 2006 RPG has been touched up greatly by Virtuos’ Paris game studio, in collaboration with its original maker Bethesda Game Studios, and published by Bethesda’s publishing arm Bethesda Softworks.
